T4L has developed a technology for producing a three-dimensional structure of industrial composites by using the carbon fiber through the development of proprietary technology for years. This is the only domestic technology that can automatically produce the structure of the various three-dimensional shape by using a carbon fiber.
This is what we call robo-braiding & RTM system.
In this technique, a braid with different ply-angles and variable numbers of lay ups is laid over a near-net-shaped mandrel. An unidirectional, bi-axial or tri-axial braid evolves after the mandrel has mechanically been shoved through the slot of a braiding machine.
Synchronous RTM workcell : Fully-Automated Robot Assisted Process
A robotic arm transfers and precisely locates the braided carbon sleeve into the left tool cavity of this female matched metal mold. A special two-component resin is injected and the composite is cured.
Step 1: A robotic arm catch the mandrel from the mandrel holder and feeds it into T4L radial braiding machine. Once the braid is done, a robot transfers and precisely put the braided carbon preform into the RTM metal mould.
Step 2 : In the RTM/Hot Press workcell, the workcell closed the metal mould and a special two-component resin is injected and the composite tube is cured. finally a robot arm remove cured composite from mould and transfer it to mandrel holder.
